Ft Mason Wine Events in San Francisco

Days of Wine & More Wine

Two major wine events sweep through Fort Mason Center in June. The first is Golden Glass. In its fourth year, Slow Food San Francisco brings this gastronomic and educational event to the Herbst Pavilion Saturday, June 9.

Later in the month, celebrate Pinot Days. On June 30, the Fort Mason Center Conference Center hosts tastings by region, and on July 1 160 pinot noir producers — from California, Oregon, Burgundy, New Zealand, and Australia — pour their current releases as barrel samples at the vast Festival Pavilion.http://www.fortmason.org/features/2007/06/feature02.shtml

The Pinot Days sounds great - to compare all the regions especially Santa Ynez Valley versus Burgundy.

Wow, thanks for pointing out the upcoming "Pinot Days" -- indeed, that sounds like an EXCELLENT way to compare my two favorite Pinot Noir regions: Santa Barbara county and Burgundy (maybe I can get my hat back too ;-)
